EA want Apple to join the console market

EA vice president Eric Soderlund has said that Apple is one of the only companies who could take a big chunk out of the console gaming market. iOS devices have proved to be very successful gaming devices while not being heavily marketed for this purpose. Apple has recently encouraged this with its Game Center service so it is possible that they are taking gaming more seriously and realising the potential of their devices.
